Gareth Ellis

Gareth Ellis trained at the RWCMD specializing in Piano, Singing, Conducting and Orchestration. Gareth is currently the Musical Director for Chicago in the West End. Other recent work includes Much Ado About Nothing and King John (RSC), Fame (Shaftesbury London), Jerry Springer: The Opera, The King and I and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK tours).


Gareth is an experienced technical singing coach and accompanist in both operatic and musical theatre genres. He has worked with many vocalists including Rebecca Evans, Charlotte Church, Peter Karrie, Bryn Terfel and Ruthie Henshall. He also works as a classical pianist and has performed piano concertos by Rachmaninov, Greig, Saint-Saens and Gershwin.
